Last night, I reached the final 3 Episodes of Battlestar Galactica. A thought came to me, should I watch them? Because watching them means the end. That’s it, no more. How it end’s will stay with me every time I watch an episode. Will the ending make me feel like it was worth watching everything that went before it? Maybe I have more selfish reasons for it to carry on. Maybe I don’t want it too end. I made me invest time in to characters that as funny as it sounds I’ve come too attached too. I can honestly say no other program has made me feel this way. Then again, I don’t think many have an ending planned out. Most end with a way of resurrecting the series if needs be. There is always a way to bring about a return, I think only Space: Above and Beyond comes anyway close to giving a satisfying end to a series.
So should I watch? Well, I did anyway and it was a satisfying ending. It did end with a purpose and had something to say. It also gave, pretty much, no real chance of a return. This was Battlestar Galactica and this is all it could be. There will be no more, until the next reboot, that is. If it’s half a good as this one, then it’ll be another great show.
Why not say something
