  • Saturday the 6th of June, 2009, marked the 65th Anniversary of the D-Day landings, which eventually lead to the defeat of the Fascist Nazi Germany. Whose atrocities include the genocide of six million Jewish people. What did the UK do to remember this solemn occasion? Well, it voted in two far right racists in the form of members of the British National Party to the European Parliament.

Who are these two lovely people we decide to elect to represent us? Well, the first is BNP leader Nick Griffin. This lovely man is a holocaust denier, he calls it the holohoax. He has been involved in far right politics since he was 15 and has been seen with other members of high profile right wing organisations, including the leaders of the KKK. The second man is Andrew Brons, who was once the leader of the National Front, another extreme right wing group. Below is Andrew Brons Stechford By-Election Flyer:

Right, that enough of them. What can we do to show that we didn’t want these people elected?

    • Hope Not Hate have set-up a online petition – Not In My Name – which the plan to send to send on the Day the two take their seat in the EU Parliment.
    • Spinneyhead has produced a ‘Nick Griffin is not my MEP‘ and you can buy stuff with it on from here.
    • On the 14th of July, these things take their seats in the EU Parliament. On that day, their contact details should appear here for Brons and here for Griffin. It’s only fair as representatives of you that you should be able to contact them and tell them your views.
    • More will be added as and when?
